Growth Mindset: 29 Ways to Stay Creative

For this assignment I watched the video, 29 Ways to Stay Creative. I also inserted it into the blog post by using one of the tech tips from earlier this semester! I wanted to watch this video because it is so easy to get burnt out of your work and to become stagnant in our lives. Here are some of the tips I liked the most and some that seemed a little silly to me!

#6 Take Breaks I think this is a really important tip for how to stay creative. If you become so involved and sucked into your work, it is easy to hit a road block and become frustrated. Taking a break allows you to step back and reevaluate your work.

#8 Drink Coffee I am not sure about others, but for me this is the opposite of being creative. Coffee leaves me feeling bad and puts me in a rut most of the time. I save it for dire circumstances like dead and finals week.

#9 Listen to New Music I love this tip! I have a horrible habit of listening to the same song on repeat for weeks on end. Weird I know but when I like a song I like a song! I have noticed that when I find a new song I like it ups my mood and my day as a whole, so I am going to be more proactive about this.

#17 Go Somewhere New As much as I would like to really go somewhere new on a vacation, that isn't an option at the moment, but that doesn't mean that I cannot change up my everyday surroundings to bring more creativity in my life. This is even possible my studying at a new place or going for a walk at a park that I have not been to before. Today, I am working on assignments in my bed, which is fun since I usually go to campus to do homework.

#27 Clean Your Workspace For me, this is a really effective way to focus my mind on the task at hand and look at the next step. If my workspace is messy I just get frustrated.
