This graphic is wonderful because it emphasizes just how much our words can influence our attitude about ourselves as well as others. One part of this graphic that I would not have thought about before was the ability to grow even when we think we have achieved all we can. "It's good enough," can be changed to "Is this really my best work?" This allows us to step back and think if we have done all we can to put our best work out there. Sometimes it is too easy to finish an assignment and turn it in without questioning if we have done our best work. The same goes for the line, "I'm awesome at this!" and the alternative being "I'm on the right track." When we say we are on the right track instead of I'm awesome at this, we are allowing ourselves to grow and expand upon our skills, while the other phrase limits ourselves. One of these phrases that I could have definitely benefited from is "I'm going to train my brain in math," as opposed to "I can't do math." Math has always been a struggle for me!
