The learning challenge that I chose to do was from the health and happiness section and was an article called The Only Way to Keep Your Resolutions by the New York Times. This article jumped out to me from the list because I have a resolution this year! Last year my resolution was to not drink soda and I am happy to say I actually completed it. This year I chose to give up fast food because I was eating 3-4 times a week last semester and that is an awful habit. So far I have been successful and haven't felt too tempted, but I am sure the time will come, so I decided to read this article.
In this article, it says that the key to keeping a resolution is not willpower and grit, because those will wear think over the course of a couple months. Instead, it is important to live a life of gratitude and make your social relationships strong. I think this is so true and it is so important to have people that you can lean on and vice versa. So far, all my friends have been supportive of my resolution and haven't tempted me with Chick-fil-a so I am thankful for that!
I have the same resolution! How we treat our bodies reverberates in our everyday life. You are not alone in this effort. :)
