It's Galentine's Day! If anyone doesn't know what Galentine's Day is, it is the day before Valentine's when you get to celebrate your female friends and your friendship. Me and my friends from college have been celebrating it every year since I was a freshman by going to a nice dinner in OKC, and this year is no exception. It's a nice way to carve out time to do something fun together and something out of the norm. This year we are having dinner at the Jones Assembly, so it will probably be packed with couples, but who cares.
Though it is only Tuesday, I've had a rather busy week. I have a large part of my project for my advertising capstone due this Wednesday, so that has been a big priority in my schedule and has been something I've been working on for hours at a time every day for the past week or so. I even woke up last night thinking about the advertising expenditures of Circle K...don't ask..Let's just say once Wednesday is over I will have a moment to breathe and work on other assignments and also have some free time.
As far as this class goes, I'm happy with my progress. I've got a lot done since Friday of last week and want to stay ahead as much as possible. My roommate and I booked a room in the library on Friday morning so that we can work and get some stuff done. Then once that is done, I am going to the art museum in OKC with my boyfriend to watch the Live Action Shorts that are nominated for Oscars. It should be a great time. I am really looking forward to the one about Emmett Till, called My Nephew Emmett. I will try to update ya'll on what I think about them in my Famous Last Words post next week!
Hi Blake! I have been checking in on your blog since the start because we both started early! I have always heard that the capstone for advertising takes a lot of time. Just remember that everyone else before you has gotten through and survived it just like you will! I loved reading about your fun galentines day traditions. Leslie Knope is one of my favorite fictional characters. Have a great rest of your week!
