I wanted to do this infographic for a post because I think that creativity is extremely important in one's life. Not only does creativity help us solve problems, but it can be used to express ourselves and learn in a new way, which is confirmed by this graphic in #2 as well as #3. One part of this infographic that I really liked, but had not thought about before was the way that creativity can connect us with others who have the same passions (#8). This is so true! I love talking to people about the things I enjoy, whether it be podcasts or books and creativity is not exempt from that. Another thing from this list that I would not have previously noted is the fact that creativity helps to strengthen your ability to focus. I had not thought about this before, but it really does! Whether it is staying between the lines in a coloring book or concentrating on notes in music, creativity does have the ability to help us narrow our focus.
Hi Blake! Just to say again that seeing your posts with these thoughts and reflections is so encouraging: because this is a "General Education" class, I really want to make it possible for people to have a chance to step back and think about their education in a bigger way, and you are doing that so well with these various posts. Wonderful! One of my goals this semester is to develop some doodling and sketchnoting skills of my own. I would love to be able to make infographics like this myself; there are so many teachers who make and share these things online now, which I think is so cool! :-)
